Abbeden st\u00f8tter fremme af Shaolin-kampsport og gav sin st\u00f8tte og velsignelse til grundl\u00e6ggeren Master Shi Yan Hao til at oprette Shaolin-templets kulturcenter i 2015. Han tiltr\u00e5dte som Shaolin-templets abbed i 1999 efter sine lange studier som munk i Shaolin-templet og andre klostre. Han blev den tredivte efterf\u00f8lger efter den tidligere buddhistiske abbed Xue Ting Fu Yu. Han er formand for Henan-provinsens buddhistforening, n\u00e6stformand for Kinas buddhistforening, repr\u00e6sentant for den niende nationale folkekongres og ogs\u00e5 den f\u00f8rste kinesiske munk, der nogensinde har f\u00e5et en MBA-grad.
